Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. This position is office-based and will report to the Chief Estimator. The Estimator will be responsible for executing computer-aided and manual take-off estimates of structural steel components. The role requires a solid understanding of the steel fabrication and erection process, along with experience in construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute take-offs for all types of structural steel components and typical detail requirements.
• Review vendor and sub-tier quotes to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Develop supporting documentation to prepare complete estimates.
• Produce estimate summaries identifying basic and special requirements for the required scope of work, including buy-out items.
• Assist in training Estimators in Training positions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the structural steel industry in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of means and methods of steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Construction experience is essential.
• Preferred: Strong experience reviewing contract drawings and specifications related to structural steel.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Bluebeam, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
• BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred, but not necessary.
