Imperial Brands, an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees is investing in building a Global Business Services Team. Working as part of the Finance Centre of Capability (CoC), the role is to be part of the Tax & Statutory Reporting team supporting the Group’s compliance with internal and regulatory tax requirements.

The main purpose of this role is ensuring that the complex global and local transfer pricing reports are prepared accurately and on time. In this role you will be working with mitigating the risk of Imperial Brand entities being penalized by tax administrations for having no/improper statutory transfer pricing documentation in place. You will have no direct reports although as Senior Transfer Pricing Specialist you will be supporting Tax Team Manager with number of supervisory functions.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Update, review, and produce global and local transfer pricing documentation for complex business models and Imperial Brands entities.
  • Assist in transfer pricing audits and decision-making by interpreting complex country-specific regulations and general transfer pricing frameworks.
  • Engage in central transfer pricing projects and perform peer reviews to build functional competence within the team.
  • Decision-Making: proper interpretation of transfer pricing-related, country-specific (complex) regulations as well as general transfer pricing framework (OECD Guidelines, UN TP Manual for Developing Countries)
  • Support supervisors in people-related matters, such as coaching junior team members and introducing new joiners, perform peer review.
  • Build functional competence within TP Team.
  • Act as a focal point for internal and external stakeholders, including external advisors, training providers, and internal networks/projects.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects to reduce time spent on daily tasks and increase overall effectiveness.


Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in transfer pricing in an international company.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook.
  • Very good level of English.
  • Good level of German will be an advantage.
  • Good analytical and reasoning skills and capacity to provide sound judgment concerning the issues in area of responsibility.
  • Project management skills to organize, plan and priorities own work and the work of others.
  • Leadership skills.
