Job Summary
Your position is responsible for reviewing conventional appraisals, conducting full reviews, and ensuring property values are well-supported by thorough research of comparable sales. The role also requires knowledge of agency requirements, proficiency with collateral tools, and the ability to communicate effectively and deliver exceptional customer service.
Duties/Responsibilities

· Perform comprehensive reviews of conventional appraisal reports to ensure accuracy, compliance, and sufficient value support.
· Research and analyze comparable sales data to validate appraised property values.
· Review appraisals for various property types, including condominiums and new construction projects.
· Ensure adherence to internal guidelines, investor requirements, and all relevant agency standards (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, etc.).
· Utilize agency-specific collateral tools and systems, including Encompass, to facilitate and complete reviews.
· Stay updated on agency requirements, including appraisal guidelines and changes in collateral underwriting practices.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, appraisers, and external partners, addressing appraisal-related questions and concerns.
· Provide exceptional customer service by delivering timely and effective solutions to valuation challenges.
· Collaborate with internal departments to resolve complex valuation or compliance issues.
· Effectively manage and maintain published turn times for appraisal review
· Crosstrain on other operational duties as needed
Required Skills/Abilities
· Strong understanding of conventional appraisal review processes, including experience with condos and new construction properties.
· Knowledge and comprehension of agency (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, etc.) requirements related to collateral underwriting.
· Proficiency in using Encompass and various agency-specific collateral tools.
· Excellent research skills for analyzing comparable sales data to support value determinations.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
Education and Experience
· 3+ years of prior experience in collateral underwriting or appraisal review required
· Experience with Encompass, FNMA Collateral Underwriter, FHLMC Loan Collateral Advisor, and various appraisal software and tools are desired.
