Job description

About Abby Care

Our mission is to redefine care for the most vulnerable. The healthcare system is failing the underserved. It's a
struggle to find care, to afford care, and to receive quality care.
We are well-funded by world-class investors and phenomenal digital health leaders of this decade. We are led
by a founder who grew up on Medicaid (public insurance) and personally knows the desperation of not being
able to afford medically-necessary care.
Here, we believe that anything can be achieved through pure will, determination, and grit. We value operators
with a similar mindset.

The Role

Working Hours: 9AM to 5PM US EST US Hours (Full Time Remote)

We’re looking for passionate, empathetic, and detail-oriented hustlers to join us in the Care Operations
Associate role. Your role will focus on executing administrative tasks and processes to ensure that
underserved families can get access to care.

In this role, you will:

● Own and drive care operations tasks. Your role will revolve around prioritizing administrative needs.
You’ll be partnering with other teammates to handle insurance benefits and eligibility checks,
collecting medical documentation, speaking to provider offices, and so much more.
○ The team is currently organized into 5 specializations which we are hiring for specifically,
but the role may change as the business grows:
■ Document Collection
■ Document Review
■ Onboarding and Human Resources Support
■ Scheduling Coordination
■ Orders & Visits Coordination

● Uplift our families. The work you do is critical and has a direct impact on our families. You’ll interact
with families to provide status updates, request additional personal and medical information, and
celebrate each new family we’re able to support.
● Partner with clinicians, You'll be a critical voice for collaboration with our clinical team. You’re not
afraid to push for tasks to be done and can clearly communicate expectations with clinicians to
ensure a best-in-class experience for our families.

Our Value Prop to You

● Environment for growth and learning. You will have the opportunity to drive great impact and gain
exposure to all functions of the company.
● Propel innovation in healthcare. We are leading the change against traditional providers with
outdated systems. You’ll be able to operate in a fast-paced environment to deliver best-in-class care
and iterate.
● An energizing, compassionate team. Our team cares deeply about each other. We strive to elevate and
uplift each other in our day-to-day work to do the best for our families. We don't believe in
bureaucratic nonsense.
● Supporting your well-being.

organized and can balance operational tasks, scheduling, working with providers, and
creative problem-solving for issues that come up throughout the day.

● Above and Beyond
○ You have the ability to always do the best for families than the typical 9-5 job mindset. There
are numerous different cases that require extra attention, love, and support.

● Flexibility
○ You get energy when tasks and responsibilities are not always the same or stagnant. This is
not a typical 9-5 and there are days when you are helping in different areas and disciplines.

Who We’re Looking For

This role would be a fit for you if you have the following:
● Pride in being the jack-of-all trades.
○ Everyone has heard of the ‘a jack of all trades is a master of none’ quote. However, what most
people missed is the second half of the quote ‘a jack of all trades is a master of none, but
oftentimes better than a master of one’. You know this, and it’s your superpower.

● Compassion for underserved families.
○ You truly view this as an opportunity to help the most vulnerable. Low-income families are
often turned away from care and treated with little respect in healthcare. You’re fired up to
flip this narrative!
● Execution horsepower.
○ Your uncanny advantage is your speed for execution and your organizational skills. For teams
you work with, you are known for always exceeding expectations and raising the bar for
yourself and for everyone else around you.

● Down-to-earth interpersonal skills.
○ You know how to relate and talk to anyone and everyone. People connect with you on a
deeper level. You can switch from talking to a high-ranked executive, to a rural farmer, and to
an alien from Mars with no hesitation.
● Team-player and beginner's mindset.
○ You have a low ego and are willing to learn. You are willing to admit mistakes and have an
open mindset to new avenues of problem-solving.
○ You are constantly thinking of ways to improve, and are not afraid to pivot when necessary.
● Force of nature.
○ You take extreme ownership. There are no tasks or problems that are beneath you - even the
most unsexy, complex of problems.
○ You are able to drive critical goals under ambiguity and constraints.
● Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

The Requirements

We index more on your experience and hustle than on anything else:

opportunities.

● Bonus if you speak Spanish.
