About this role

Your Team

This position sits within the Americas Fixed Income division at BlackRock. BlackRock’s Americas Fixed Income team manages more than $1 trillion in global fixed income assets across index, active long-only, alternative, and liability driven strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors a broad array of investment choices across model-based and fundamental investment styles.

Your Role

BlackRock seeks a candidate for our multi-sector fixed income team that will help manage client flows, construct portfolios, monitor risk and hedge exposure to implement trading strategies based on clients' needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside Portfolio Managers and Senior Product Strategists to represent fundamental fixed income strategies to internal stakeholders
  • Maintain a understanding of the team’s philosophy, investment and risk positioning, and product suite so as to be a credible team representative
  • Provide ongoing business support as directed for the senior product strategists
  • Support and develop client reporting for our fundamental fixed income
  • Be responsive to client requests and queries
  • Help define and position BlackRock’s competitive advantage in fixed income
  • Understand industry dynamics, drivers of growth and undertake competitor analysis
  • Regularly communicate with stakeholders to understand sales and client feedback
  • Complete a wide variety of ad hoc requests

Experience/Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Python and SQL preferred
  • Strong understanding of the asset management industry and capital markets, particularly in fixed income
  • Knowledge of global economics and markets
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to form meaningful working partnerships
  • Ability to distill large amounts of data

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
