Position Title: Bookkeeper/Cost Analyst
Work Set-up: Work from Home
Schedule: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Salary: Php 50,000 - 55,000.00
Sign-on Bonus: TBC

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A BOOKKEEPER/COST ANALYST

Your Responsibilities as a Bookkeeper/Cost Analyst would be:
• Independently perform a full range of varied complex, sensitive, highly responsible, and confidential office administrative, secretarial, advanced clerical, and routine programmatic support functions of a general or specialized nature in support of assigned programs, division, and/or department with only occasional instruction or assistance.
• Plan and organize work activities; recommend improvements in workflow, procedures, and use of equipment and forms; implement improvements as approved; develop and revise office forms and report formats as required.
• Calendar Management: Efficiently schedule and manage appointments, meetings, and conferences to optimize the executive's time.
• Email Management: Monitor, prioritize, and respond to emails on behalf of the executive and draft professional correspondence as needed.
• Research and Reporting: works with data, research on various topics, compile information, and prepare reports and presentations as required.
• Task Prioritization: Assist in identifying and prioritizing tasks and projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Data Management: Organize and maintain electronic files, databases, and documents.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between the executive and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
• Expense Management: Track expenses, prepare expense reports, and reconcile receipts.
• Gather and analyze financial data
• Determine standard costs and investigate variances with actual costs
• Prepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad-hoc
• Help management make important decisions based on costs and benefits (e.g. investments, market growth, pricing changes)
• Create and manage budgets, and monitor spending
• Conduct audits on financial processes and transactions
• Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs
• Estimate product costs for existing and new products
• Forecast and analyze costs of processes, labor and inventory
• Suggest cost-reducing or profitable solutions
• Conduct market research to support future business planning



Qualifications as a Bookkeeper/Cost Analyst:
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar discipline is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of proven work experience and track record in data entry and record keeping, cost analysis and related bookkeeping tasks including balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, end-of-month journals, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll preparation is strongly preferred.
• Preferably with QuickBooks Online experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel
• Knowledge of using online accounting software essential.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Keen attention to detail and high accuracy is a must.
• Excellent conceptual thinking, resourcefulness, diligence, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills.
• A good attitude towards learning and development.
• Must be a skilled multi-tasker, reliable, and committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
• People-oriented and with good interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work unsupervised and have an ambition to become a team leader.
