PEAK 15 Systems (peak15systems.com), part of the Fullsteam organization, is a growing software company that delivers a cloud-based management system to the travel industry. Our customers include Travel + Leisure Magazine World’s Best Award Winners National Geographic Expeditions, Micato Safaris, and Butterfield & Robinson who use the system to craft unique itineraries, process bookings, streamline operations and manage customer and vendor relationships.

Reporting directly to the President and Founder, the Director of Engineering will partner with Product Owner(s) and Chief Architect and QA Manager to create a high velocity pipeline of product innovation that improves customer close rate, adoption, expansion and retention.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a software engineering and devops team delivering high quality, scalable software platforms
  • Provide input on the design of new functionality, reviewing technical designs and code to avoid unnecessary complexity
  • Facilitate the reliable planning, estimation and delivery of your team's work
  • Create a flexible and adaptable software delivery framework that is able to scale to address new market opportunities
  • Participate as key member of the Leadership Team to ensure visibility and alignment across company on priorities and major projects/initiatives

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • 5 software engineers (including staff and offshore contractors)
  • 2 Devops / Cloud engineers

Primary Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8+ years of professional experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience directly leading or managing an engineering team
  • Demonstrated ability to solve challenging technical problems
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technology and/or complex systems
  • Deep understanding of .NET/C# programming
  • Proven ability to decompose complex problems into discrete software deliverables
  • Coachable with a high integrity ownership mind-set
  • Self-starter with consistent track record of delivering high quality software in a pragmatic fashion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
