Job description

Overview:

This position serves as a CoralTree Hospitality product expert to the meetings industry and is responsible for generating group business from a defined global market, maximization of sales, development of strategic accounts and emerging markets, and sound administration of assigned responsibilities. This position will maintain a primary focus on generating business from assigned vertical business segments and/or designated strategic accounts within the positioned assigned region.

Responsibilities:
  • Identifies both new and existing sources of group business for all properties and books this business across the portfolio.
  • Conduct regular sales calls visits to target areas, strategic accounts, and vertical business segments located in a specific market or geographic region.
  • Assists property Sales Managers in closing business as needed.
  • Assumes a leadership role in industry organizations to generate increased visibility for CoralTree Hospitality
  • Lead/assist with coordination and participation in industry trade shows and events.
  • Develop group sales missions and city visits for property sales professionals as needed.
  • Develop major customer appreciation events in key feeder markets.
  • Familiar with legality of contractual agreements and the processes related to negotiating preferred vendor agreement.
  • Review and assist in the creation of Sales Activity and Regional Group Strategies on a Bi- monthly basis with the Global Team
  • Quarterly review and manage Budget for Dept. with the assistance from SVP Sales, Marketing & Revenue and SVP of Finance at CoralTree Hospitality.
  • Ambassador of the Global Group team at on-property, regional and ownership meetings when requested by SVP Sales, Marketing & Revenue
  • Review Pace and Production every other week working with analyst to achieve goals for the team and each region
  • Senior leader to assist with transition and new openings where group can impact the property.
Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in a group sales role on a property or in a multi property direct sales position.
  • Experience selling within the West Coast region primarily focused on corporate vertical markets is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience selling multiple destinations and multiple brands a plus.
  • Excellent Communication Skills – both verbal and written required
  • CRM experience preferred – the team currently uses Delphi to manage funnel, contacts and activities.

Salary range: $120,000 - $130,000/yr. + bonus.

Location: This is a remote position that should be based in the Western U.S.
