Job Description:

Phreesia is looking for a Benefits Analyst to join our growing HR Team! This individual will provide day to day support and expertise on our benefit programs and will administer our plans in partnership with our vendors and provide ongoing support of plans throughout the year. The Benefits Analyst will participate and provide perspective on trends both external and internal to help inform our review of our benefits packages and any changes we may consider each year. 

 

This is a fully remote position with priority given to candidates in the EST/CST time zones.  

What You'll Do: 

  • Administer benefits for employees in the United States, Canada, and India. 

  • Lead the U.S. open enrollment process in collaboration with our brokers and other key stakeholders.   

  • Work collaboratively with the HRBP, Payroll and HCM teams to ensure benefit payments, deductions and contributions are processed timely and accurately. 

  • Deploy communication strategies, such as training and educational materials, to ensure new and existing employees’ understanding of benefit offerings and processes. 

  • Develop strong relationships with Phreesia’s health and welfare brokers, advisors, TPA’s, insurance carriers, and other 3rd party benefit vendors, holding them accountable to meeting or exceeding performance and service standards. 

  • Keep abreast of applicable laws and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., ACA, ADA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, and other applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws impacting benefits, wellness, workers compensation, leaves, accommodations, disability management, etc.)   

  • Support company-wide global wellness strategy. 

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree required 

  • 2+ years of experience in human resources with at least 1 year in benefits administration. 

  • Workday experience required 

  • Proficient in excel required 

  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations with regard to the processing of health and retirement benefits.   

  • Retirement and leave of absence administration experience highly preferred 

  • Experience in managing leave of absence, time-off, and workers’ compensation programs.   

  • Basic understanding of state and local laws governing leave such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA to ensure compliance.   

  • Excellent analytical skills to research and evaluate benefits programs to make informed choices. 

Base pay for US is $65,000 – $80,000, depending on qualifications.
