In February of 2023, SpryPoint received a strategic investment from Norwest, a leading venture and growth equity investment firm. With this investment, SpryPoint will build on its significant business momentum over the past three years, expanding its team and positioning the company to continue increasing market share of its mission-critical, cloud-native solutions for smart utilities.
The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working directly with and leading a team of project managers in their day to day activities. In addition, a portion of time will be spent actively managing client implementations. As an active project manager, you will work together with our SpryPoint customers and partners to deliver quality implementations. We are looking for someone who seeks to constantly expand their knowledge of SpryPoint products and the utilities industry. Reporting to the PMO, you will be an active project manager and people leader. You will be managing communications, capacity planning and risk, forecasting effort and revenue while maintaining a positive and engaging presence with each of your project teams. As a Project Management Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the work of a team of employees, and ensuring that deliverables are met and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities: Applying SpryPoint's hybrid implementation methodology to our enterprise projectsDeveloping realistic, manageable project schedules, and ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate with appropriate task assignments and effortAct as liaison between upper management and project staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently, on time and within budgetMaintain detailed and accurate project documents per the SOW and our implementation methodologyProven financial acumen experience gained by managing projectsExperience negotiating resources and deliverables within a matrix organizationExperience negotiating with customers on modification and compromises to project scope or deliverables based on project schedule, contingencies and predefined acceptance criteriaUsing keen attention to detail to support the delivery of professional project documentation to our clientsDevelop engaging relationships with our clients and our internal team at all departments and strata of the organizationProven ability to understand and explain the impact of project discussions to both customers and internal stakeholdersAssist with gap analysis and discovery workshopsReview and understand all contractual and SOW requirements are being met and delivered successfullyExperience in hiring and leading team members, tracking performance
Travel and working at client sites across North America will be required to be successful in this position. The successful candidate must be able to travel outside of Canada with no known legal or immigration-related impediments.
