Role Overview

We are in search of a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team, operating remotely within the Los Angeles or Bay Area, CA. In this vital role, you will deliver outstanding legal defense services to our clients in the insurance industry. Key Responsibilities

As our Insurance Defense Attorney, you will:

  • Represent clients across a diverse range of insurance defense matters.
  • Provide expert legal counsel on intricate liability issues, ensuring our clients are well-informed.
  • Formulate and implement strategic defense approaches that align with our clients’ interests.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes to our clients’ satisfaction.
  • Engage in thorough research to support case preparation and strategy formulation.
  • Draft, review, and enhance legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal support personnel to deliver exceptional legal services.
  • Keep clients abreast of case developments, advising on potential legal risks and strategies.
  • Remain knowledgeable about current laws, regulations, and trends in insurance defense and liability law.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized law school.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance defense, specifically focused on liability law.
  • A current and active license to practice law in California.
  • A demonstrated history of successful client representation in insurance cases.
  • Strong negotiation, dispute resolution, and advocacy capabilities.
  • Proficient research and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex legal concepts effectively.
  • High standards of professional ethics and integrity.
  • The capacity to work independently and manage a substantial caseload in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Over 8 years of First Chair experience in third-party insurance defense cases.
  • A solid foundation in General Liability, Product Liability, Commercial Auto Claims, and Toxic Tort.
