Fortrea is seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Audit and Project Manager to join our global team! In this role, you will have dual responsibilities in supporting applications across the Corporate landscape. The first aspect will focus on audit preparedness and execution, ensuring that the proper controls are in place and documented, processes are clearly defined, and policies are adhered. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity practices, as well as experience in working with third-party auditors. The second aspect will focus on Application Lifecyle Management, providing coordination and support in rolling out system enhancements, bug fixes and product releases. The ideal candidate will play a key role within the Corporate Application ecosystem, bringing innovation and delivering value to our organization.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Application Lifecyle Management, moving system changes through development, testing and production release.

  • Manage the tenant, environment, model, etc. plans across applications.

  • Collaborate across stakeholders in delivering positive outcomes at application change control boards.

  • Perform risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.

  • Support application delivery teams in documenting controls, processes and security details to support internal and external audits.

  • Partner with application delivery teams during internal and external audits, providing guidance and mitigations.

  • Stay up to date on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes, suggesting improvements to controls and audit preparedness.

  • Evaluate project outcomes and processes, implementing lessons learned to improve future project delivery.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.

  • Manage all other duties as needed or assigned, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines.

  • Leadership qualities that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.

  • Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.

Experience (Minimum Required): 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT auditing, risk management, or related fields.

  • Understanding of IT General Controls, SOX Controls, etc.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Collaborative approach working in a global team environment.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Experience managing direct reports.

  • Advanced computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point).

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, etc.).

  • Experience within a CRO or similar environment is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically when solving problems and making decisions.

  • Leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and building collaborative relationships.
