Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to the enterprise leadership team to help improve business performance and drive improved financial and clinical outcomes.

The ideal candidate will bring a background in supporting operational reporting needs, project ownership, understanding metrics, report development, analytical thinking, teamwork and a preferred 5 years of experience with a health plan or medical group in a finance/analytics/reporting capacity.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with internal finance teams to help prepare and consolidate monthly financial deck
  • Understand and contribute to enhancement of comprehensive forecast and budget process and provide support with analytic approaches
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine sophisticated mathematical allocation models
  • Help ensure reporting financials are accurate and identify potential reporting errors
  • Understand and keep track of KPIs on a quarterly/annual basis in partner with different functions across the organization
  • Develop solid understanding of reporting structure and incorporate into various analyses
  • Build and work with models that contain sensitive information and share results with appropriate parties, demonstrating a high degree of discretion
  • Create and maintain reports/data extracts using data source such as Workday/Adaptive platform
  • Perform ad hoc analysis based on requests/needs of management in a timely manner

Required Qualifications:

Minimum Experience

  • 5 + years related work experience, preferably in a health care / managed care setting
  • Understanding of Finance/Accounting concepts such as journal entries, reversing entries, corporate allocations, month-end close processes, Income Statement & Balance Sheet, chart of accounts and cost centers, Net Income vs. EBITDA
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills necessary; Microsoft Access or Power Query knowledge, financial system savvy, data savvy, able to pull and summarize large amounts of data
  • Excellent analytical abilities; strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple responsibilities and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Preferred:  Any ERP system experience (i.e. Hyperion, Essbase, SAP, Adaptive Insights, etc.).  Workday system experience and Healthcare knowledge is a plus

Education/Licensure:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or other related field

Skills and Abilities:

Language Skills: Strong communication skills both written and verbal to work with multiple internal and external clients in a fast-paced environment Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.  Computer Skills: Ability to create and maintain documents using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

Pay Range:
$87,000.00 - $106,600.00

Salary range shown is a guideline. Individual compensation packages can vary based on factors unique to each candidate, such as skill set, experience, and qualifications.
