We are in search of experienced Independent Contractors with a strong background in legal transcription, specifically in transcribing depositions and hearings, for a fully remote role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Process audio recordings while strictly adhering to established style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail in discerning spoken content and applying legal terminology appropriately.

Required Skills

  • Essential experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
  • Exceptional listening skills and literacy, including spelling and grammar competence.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and adhere to client-specific style guides.
  • Proficient typing skills with both speed and accuracy.
  • Capable of handling sensitive audio/text content (potentially offensive).
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is crucial.
  • Court reporting students are welcome to apply.
