Position Overview

In the role of Claims Trainer, you will be instrumental in the formulation, development, and execution of training initiatives for our Claims Department. You will partner with colleagues to identify educational needs, foster uniformity in claims processing, and suggest methodologies for heightened operational efficiency. This position embodies professionalism, ethical integrity, and a spirit of collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training & Development: Assess training requirements and design, develop, and deliver compelling training resources employing various methods, including presentations, video aids, workflows, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Consistency & Efficiency: Cultivate uniformity in claims processing and propose procedures for enhanced operational effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Engage closely with team members and other departments to ensure timely execution of tasks and projects.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Oversee and assess claims processing protocols, assist with quality assurance assessments, and contribute to the overarching objectives of the team and organization.
  • Compliance: Remain updated on company protocols, claim-related legislation, insurance regulations, and other legal mandates.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of property insurance claims expertise; experience in field claim management and/or training is preferred.
  • Licensing: Florida 520⁄620 Adjuster License is necessary, with the capability to acquire adjuster licenses in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and other states within 90 days of hire.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, robust organizational and time management capabilities, and sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Xactimate, XactAnalysis, XactContents, Adobe, and Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI). Familiarity with Guidewire is advantageous.

Additional Information

  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit, engage in manual tasks, and communicate effectively. Occasional standing and walking may be necessary.
  • Work Environment: Typically moderate noise levels. This remote role necessitates occasional onsite presence, with potential overnight travel required.
