We are currently seeking a Claims Consultant with a focus on Crime and Fidelity claims. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of first-party claims that involve private companies, public entities, and financial institutions, guiding them from initiation to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all facets of claim file oversight, ensuring thorough attention from assignment to final resolution.
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations and analyze gathered information to assess claims effectively.
  • Perform precise coverage analysis, evaluating liability and damages tailored to the specifics of each claim.
  • Communicate written positions clearly to insured parties and relevant stakeholders regarding coverage, liability, and damages.
  • Establish appropriate expense and indemnity reserves, monitoring them for necessary adjustments.
  • Present cases to management for reserve authority above established levels.
  • Formulate and implement resolution strategies aimed at achieving optimal outcomes through adept negotiations.
  • Analyze and understand potential extra-contractual liabilities as necessary.
  • Attend trials and mediations as required.
  • Collaborate with business partners to address claim trends and developments.
  • Deliver exceptional service to agents and policyholders, addressing inquiries with utmost care.
  • Provide essential training and marketing support to underwriters.
  • Engage with industry events focused on risk management and claims topics, presenting insights as necessary.

Qualifications

  • A Juris Doctorate degree is preferred; a four-year college degree is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of experience handling Fidelity and Crime claims coverage or liability cases, either as defense counsel or claims handler. Experience in Accounting, Financial Institutions, or Financial Services Claims will be considered an asset.

Compensation And Benefits

The annual base salary for this position ranges from \(120,000 to \)180,000, contingent on various factors including performance and relevant experience. This role is complemented by a comprehensive compensation package that may include bonuses, long-term incentives, and additional rewards.

This position allows for hybrid or remote work arrangements. Candidates located near our office locations (Hartford, CT; San Antonio, TX; Lake Mary, FL; Phoenix, AZ; Naperville, IL) are expected to work in-office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday), while those outside those areas can work remotely with occasional office visits as required.
