Job Overview

We invite you to become part of our esteemed organization, where your professional growth and development are prioritized. We are currently on the lookout for an E-Billing Administrator who will significantly contribute to our e-billing operations, overseeing critical tasks such as bill submission, resolution of rejected items, and tracking acceptance. This role offers the flexibility to work fully remotely from anywhere in the United States or on-site in White Plains, NY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the electronic submission of client invoices utilizing various e-billing middleware systems
  • Identify, address, and resolve issues encountered during the invoice submission process
  • Coordinate effectively with attorneys, clients, and administrative personnel to fulfill e-billing requirements
  • Communicate escalated issues proficiently to supervisors and management
  • Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with team members, attorneys, and upper management
  • Monitor the status of submitted invoices to ensure prompt payment from clients
  • Maintain an internal database of e-billed clients along with their compliance requirements
  • Document and revise reference materials pertinent to the e-billing process as needed
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from partners and clients
  • Provide updates and financial analyses to attorneys, clients, and administrative staff upon request
  • Engage in firm-wide and departmental initiatives and projects
  • Execute additional duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of e-billing experience within a corporate law department or law firm
  • Familiarity with BillBlast and/or Aderant is advantageous
  • Understanding of legal billing and middleware systems (e.g., Legal Exchange, TyMetrix 360, Legal-X, Serengeti/Legal Tracker) is beneficial
  • Knowledge of various Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard (LEDES) billing formats is a plus
  • Proficient in Windows-based software along with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong reading comprehension, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to produce meticulous and precise work
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attorneys, staff, vendors, and clients
  • Dedication to delivering quality client service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills and a readiness to learn new competencies

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in e-billing within a corporate law department or law firm is required
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory

Compensation And Benefits

Compensation decisions are influenced by various factors such as experience, education, licensure, geographic location, and market demand. The expected salary range for this role is \(50,000 to \)70,000. Final salary offers may differ based on individual circumstances. This full-time position includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, with details provided upon receiving an offer of employment.
