Job Overview

As a remote Healthcare Customer Service Receptionist, you will be instrumental in handling incoming inquiries from healthcare providers and pharmacies. Your role will involve evaluating requests, confirming patient benefit coverage, and meticulously entering data to create cases. Your precise attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and service level agreements while delivering vital information concerning transplant benefits to callers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming requests from healthcare providers and pharmacies
  • Evaluate requests and confirm patient benefit coverage
  • Accurately input data to create cases
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and service level agreements
  • Provide essential information regarding transplant benefits to callers
  • Handle an average of 20-40 calls daily

Required Skills

  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Experience in data entry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and adaptability
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong capability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to manage complex inquiries regarding benefits
  • Familiarity with medical coding is advantageous (though coding diagnoses is not required)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • A medical background is essential
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, call center, or high call volume roles
  • Must be comfortable working in a telecommuting environment with a distraction-free workspace
  • Experience in insurance is preferred
