Job description

Purpose

Clinical Sales works with all of Medline’s products and has a strong influence on the success of sales growth in the designated region (Poland, Hungary and Romania). The Clinical Sales position cooperates with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction through direct contact with distributors and hospitals. The purpose of this position is to improve the product portfolio and understand customer needs and future expectations for the product. In this role you will help increase the profitability of the organisation, through clinical training and by supporting product reviews with customers. The Clinical Sales position collects and analyses financial data and is able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

You will report to the Business Development Manager Eastern Europe.


Activities and responsibilities
  • Is an expert on the market, including knowing all of whom are buyers, how they buy and why - consistently gathering and sharing useful insights (market/customer/competitor) with the local team to facilitate market-share growth.
  • Supports sales team to achieve overall sales growth targets.
  • Educates customers on the use and clinical application of products.
  • Provides product training to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides product demonstrations and clinical support during product trials.
  • Analyses the competitive marketplace and industry trends.
  • Collects first-hand customer feedback on products and use this information for improvement.
  • Drives local campaigns/portfolio marketing support in partnership with the local marketing manager to ensure campaign KPIs are met.
  • Is portfolio lead on local and national tenders; provide relevant portfolio information in a timely manner to enable the business to meet tender submission time frame and maximize success.
  • Manages product tests and trials in cooperation with the distributor.
  • Builds strong relationship with our partners in the operating theatre

Profile
  • Experience as an operating theatre assistant/nurse is a must
  • Analytical approach to problem solving with the ability to be assertive, take initiative and get the job done
  • Experience in the medical devices branch is a plus
  • Previous experience within sales, marketing or product management is a plus
  • Excellent organisational, planning, communication (written and verbal) and follow-up skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English (any other language is an advantage)
  • Willingness and ability to travel (at least 90%); a category B driving license is required
