Job description

The General Manager- Commercial Renewable Direct Sales Position
The General Manager assists the Business Market Teams in the development of the business markets process, as well as oversight and management of the project lifecycle for Commercial PV projects. The General Manager of Direct Sales will lead a small team of direct reports, while being responsible for developing and working his own pipeline to execute contracts. This role is accountable for commercial customer engagement, sales and vertical strategies, technical design/due diligence, pipeline management, and sales results for business market originated capital targets. 
 
Responsibilities
 
Role Expected Success Outcomes:
 
·       1.       Revenue Growth: Grow Business Markets channel, by achieving or exceeding origination and revenue targets year after year.
·       2.       Customer Satisfaction: Increase referrals and customer testimonials through transparent, responsive communication with the customer throughout sales journey. 
·       3.       Impactful Targets: Exceed the sales targets year over year to maximize the impact to the bottom line measured by originated committed capital and profitability of the channel (P&L).
·       4.       Process Optimization:   Increase lead generation, opportunity development, and contract closures year over year by proactively enhancing sales processes and tools.
 
Critical Experiences
·       5+ years of progressive experience leading a high performing sales organization. 
·       Demonstrated success in consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets, with a track record of expanding and strengthening sales channels, partners, and commercial verticals.
·       Experience in sales target planning and channel ROI to quantify benefit to the business and communicate to executive management.
·       Experience in Pipeline management and reporting to maintain personal / team accountability and utilize such reporting to communicate progress to executive management.
·       Proven communication skills with C-Level management at prospective clients understanding the savings impact of renewable projects, finance alternatives, and businesses bottom line impact.
·       Experience in estimating project’s physical characteristics and application of renewable infrastructure with a focus on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction cost estimation for rough order of magnitude project budget estimation. 
·       Proven experience in developing effective and impactful proposals that showcase the project benefits in terms of customer metrics and lead to project advancement with contracts.
·       Proven experience leading high performing Direct Commercial sales teams to achieve and surpass sales targets, with a focus on identifying lead development strategies, disciplined approach on opportunity qualification, and increasing sales close rates positively impact the bottom line.
·       Extensive experience in identifying, resolving, and proactively addressing issues within sales processes and tools, driving accountability, and enhancing overall sales activity for better efficiency and effectiveness.
·       Proven ability to communicate results clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization, from field employees to executives, ensuring alignment and understanding across the entire company.
·       Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
·       Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
·       Excellent customer service skills required
·       Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check
·       Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project
