Join BCI as our Manager, Performance & Analytics, where you'll play a crucial role in driving our success through expert management of compensation performance measurement and analytics. This pivotal position within our Finance team demands exceptional analytical aptitude, strong communication skills, and a knack for fostering productive stakeholder relationships.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Manager, Performance & Analytics, you will devise and uphold compensation performance methodologies, computations, benchmarks, and attributions, guaranteeing precise and prompt performance analytics. Your key responsibilities encompass executing calculations, assessing new products, conducting attribution analysis, addressing ad-hoc analytics requests, and ensuring data accuracy for all stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
CIPM, CFA, or CPA designation is a must
At least 5 years of experience in investment performance measurement or related functions, including a leadership role in managing processes
Technical Skills:
Exceptional analytical abilities and proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Solid understanding of intricate institutional investment portfolios, as well as industry-standard performance measurement, attribution, and benchmarking practices
Familiarity with analytical tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Python; SimCorp Dimension expertise is a plus
Competencies:
Analytical Thinking: Adept at gathering, interpreting, and analyzing complex data to generate actionable insights
Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to clearly and concisely present complex information
Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Influencing: Robust influencing abilities to foster alignment and backing for compensation initiatives
Maturity & Initiative: Exhibits maturity, takes the initiative, and promotes continuous enhancement of compensation practices
Preferred:
Prior experience in the pension investment or financial services industry
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in compensation management
Capacity to manage multiple projects and deliver top-quality results under pressure
WHERE YOU WILL WORK
Work from our downtown Victoria or Vancouver office; relocation support is available if needed. We are an in-person collaborative organization with the flexibility to work remotely 1-day a week.
SALARY RANGE
BCI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan and paid time off.
The annualized base salary range for this Victoria or Vancouver-based role is CAD $120,000 to $140,000.
The base salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration to internal equity.
We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we compete for talent and with consideration to internal equity and job structure. We aim for actual pay to be around the median of the market for target or expected levels of performance, and around the upper quartile of the market for excellent performance.
Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience and expertise.
