Remote - Sr. Director, Open Negotiation (Independent Dispute Resolution)

HaloMD is seeking a seasoned Director for Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR). This pivotal role will focus on distressed accounts receivable resolution while overseeing the IDR enforcement specialists. The ideal candidate will lead strategic initiatives within our HaloMD, taking charge of designing and implementing solutions to achieve our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning efforts for major projects, identifying areas for performance enhancement.
  • Oversee, report, manage, consult, and analyze billing and claims collection processes.
  • Manage billing staff, collections, and techniques to optimize the revenue cycle.
  • Regularly communicate with executive officers regarding claims status and staffing needs.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive reporting to management on billing services.
  • Evaluate productivity levels within the Revenue Cycle business unit periodically.
  • Utilize monitoring tools and performance metrics to assess revenue cycle performance.
  • Stay informed of current best practices and industry trends to maintain organizational excellence and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in medical billing practices, invoicing, quality control, claims processing, and billing resolutions.
  • Thorough understanding of laws governing communication and privacy, including HIPAA.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum of management experience in a medical billing office environment.
    • 2-3 Years experience in IDR – Independent Dispute Resolution experience required
    • Background in legal or paralegal focused on AR resolution preferred
    • 8+ years Management Experience
    • Associate’s degree in business or related field required (equivalent experience considered), Bachelor's Degree preferred.
