Managed Care Billing Specialist- CBO/AR Team

Location: Remote (100% remote after initial training period)

  • Preferred TX based candidates as there will be mandatory quarterly meetings held at the CSO in San Antonio, TX.
  • Must have previous experience with managed care claims, billing for skilled nursing communities.

Position Overview

  • Understand hierarchy of payers, payer authorizations and limits to coverage in order to ensure proper distribution of A/R funds between payers and resident balances.
  • Monitor census from various forms of information daily and monthly in order to complete accurate and timely billing.
  • Submit claims/invoices in accordance with departmental deadlines.
  • Track and submit all unbilled claims by reviewing remittance advices, EOBs
  • Apply electronic and manual payments daily in order to maintain current A/R balances.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines in handling patient information while providing support to department supervisor by engaging in multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
  • Maintain collections at 99% or greater annually.
  • Ensure successful and accurate completion daily, weekly and monthly billing cycles.
  • Evaluate and prioritize daily work to minimize the risk of bad debt to meet departmental goal for applicable payers.
  • Meeting Billing Division goal for customer satisfaction scores annually.
