About the Team: 

 

 

The Technical Field Trainer is responsible for maintaining ZF as a preferred and reliable partner by managing all training dimensions for assigned Aftermarket region/accounts in our Commercial Vehicle division. The focus is on continuously improving customer satisfaction and further enhancing the customer/supplier relationship through translation of the voice of the customer into the right customer strategy and serving as the central conduit for all customer related activities.

 


This is a remote role that includes travelling up to 50% to 70% of the time across North America (United States, and Mexico), supporting the west coast region. The ideal candidate will be located in Utah (Salt Lake City preferred) or a surrounding state (Arizona, Nevada, etc). 

 


What you can look forward to as a Technical Field Trainer: 

 


•    Elevate customer's knowledge of ZF products by providing the training and standard operating procedures 

 


•    Support field service gathering technical data and assisting with the diagnosis of commercial vehicle systems, ZF products and electrical systems

 


•    Provide clear and detailed procedures with a written process for the maintenance and repair of systems and products

 


•    Maintain high technical knowledge on ZF portfolio with emphasis in the assigned category

 


•    Organize content to develop a comprehensive training platform for delivery to technicians

 


•    Identify training needs and develop new programs to address those needs as new products are introduced

 


•    Develop, deliver, and maintain training in a variety of formats, including instructor-led, webinars, video and e-learning

 


•    Provide product expertise to internal and external customers enabling a comprehensive understanding of ZF’s features and functionality

 


•    Remain current on industry trends and related technology


 


Your Profile as a Technical Field Trainer: 

 


•    3-5 years of progressive training experience, preferably in the commercial vehicle sector 

 


•    Product knowledge, technical aptitude and diagnostic skills required to provide product/customer support.

 


•    General knowledge of heavy truck braking, steering, transmissions, and electrical systems

 


•    Extensive experience in public speaking and product training

 


•    Excellent communication at all levels

 


•    Ability to work effectively under minimum supervision

 


•    PC skills (Microsoft Office)

 


•    Must be able to travel domestically & internationally
