Senior DevOps Engineer

We are searching for a Senior DevOps Engineer (GDC) to develop detailed low-level designs to enable the delivery of technical components or solutions following a predefined set of business requirements. A Google Distributed Cloud Connected (GDC-C) Engineer is responsible for providing managed infrastructure DevOps services, specifically Kubernetes as a Service (KaaS) to our customers. The engineer ensures that customers can build and deploy their applications on a reliable and scalable edge infrastructure. The role involves using Google Distributed Cloud to manage software delivery pipelines, deploy and monitor services, and manage and learn from incidents.

Requirements

• Any background in Google Distributed Cloud Connected or a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Google Cloud Network Engineer
• Specialize in building networks for private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures
• Competency in the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support of a cloud network, as well as various other Google Cloud services
• Proficiency in a modern scripting language for the automation of build tasks
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring using monitoring tools
• Practice in Big Data on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataflow
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator
• Engineering and coding skills applied in an agile way
• Grounding in tooling for automated deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code to support Continuous Delivery/Deployment
• Understanding the concepts of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to maximize automation, reduce waste, increase scale, and apply systemic thinking
• Knowledge of Google Cloud native tooling and cloud-based delivery models
• Proven track record in coding, solution definition, project management/execution, change/risk management
• Work experience from large, international companies and have dealt with or worked for

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications at scale on Google Distributed Cloud Connected
• Collaborate with customers to understand their application requirements and provide tailored Kubernetes solutions while working with solution and application architects
