Job description

Role Summary

Our client is looking for a Controller who will be responsible for managing and performing the month-end close process for a group of clients, as well as directly supervising the work of staff accountants and assistant controllers. This is a hands-on position where he/she will have the opportunity to lead a team and continue to perform the hands-on accounting work.

SCHEDULE: TBD, follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

Essential Functions

Manage month-end close process for a group of clients
Supervise the work of staff accountants and assistant controllers

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
CPA designation preferred
Must have 8+ years of hands-on accounting experience
Extensive full-cycle accounting experience including closing the books and financial statement preparation and analysis required
Prior controllership experience
Experience in expanding, fast-growing organizations and with multi-company business
Strong Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred, Great Plains and other accounting software a plus
Willingness to train and develop others
Ability to effectively communicate financial concepts and data
A goal-oriented, collaborative team player who possesses hard work and winning as a team mentality
Has professional approach to work, strong interpersonal skills, and service-oriented mindset
Ability to adapt to and learn multiple accounting systems
Extremely detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in all aspects of reporting and communication
Good organizational skills with the ability to set priorities to meet deadlines on schedule
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
