Master of Sciences in environmental sciences, specialization in climate accounting, monitoring, modelling.

Position Summary

As a Regional Sustainability Data & Insight Expert, will steer the monitoring, reporting and verification of climate actions with a deep focus on agriculture, leveraging your expertise in FLAG,GHGP,SBTi,IPCC, etc. and carbon accounting. You will have a huge impact to accelerate our Zone Europe sustainability journey, and provide expertise guidance to all the functions, markets & product categories to support our Carbon & biodiversity roadmap for the Zone.

In this role, you will reinforce our zone categories & market sustainability strategies to achieve the target reductions & removals and provide the technical expertise and guidance on sustainability data analysis & Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting. The role is all about establishing data-driven decisions while bringing trust and transparency to the stakeholders for Nestlé in Zone Europe

A Day in the Life of a Sustainability Data & Insight Expert for Zone EUR

  • Provide technical expertise & support for the GHG reduction and removal accounting to our key Zone Europe projects to project owners.
  • Develop and maintain tools & guidance for Net Zero carbon footprint calculation across the Zone.
  • Contribute to the accurate reductions & removals quantification from interventions and their integration to the GHG reporting systems.
  • Play an instrumental role to identify, prioritize, and assess interventions to achieve the Net zero roadmap, while fostering their deployment across multiple businesses and geographies
  • Provide consulting to function leads on relevant climate & sustainability matters
  • Identify expertise and good practices from inside and outside Nestlé and communicate them internally.
  • Engage with external stakeholders representing Nestlé on sustainability accounting & methodology topics to build long term, positive relationships & benchmarks across industry standards.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Master of Sciences in environmental sciences, with specialization in climate accounting, monitoring, modelling.
  • Confirmed experience in climate consulting, sourcing, or auditing, with a focus in agriculture & climate-based interventions
  • Knowledge of GHG accounting & LCA assessment, any exposure to FMCG industry would be a plus
  • Understanding of the science behind sustainability & ability to translate complex scientific concepts into simple messages and for non-scientific audience
  • Comfortable with data management & analytics from various reporting systems
  • Fluent in English with good communication skills
