The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), School of Nursing (SON) is currently recruiting for a Graduate Placements Academic Services Coordinator to support the Office of Records and Registration in the Office of Student and Academic Services.
The Academic Service Coordinator for Graduate Placement supports a variety of day-to-day operations of an academic program in a school, department, or division, or specialty programs. This position is responsible for administrative oversight and coordination of the operations of student placements in the master’s and doctorate programs, to include faculty and student placement requests, coordinates communication with community partners, and ensures accurate documents of placements. Further the coordinator provides substantive support to the graduate placements team and assisting in organizing and maintaining the operational functions of the department, and to serve as a resource for students, faculty and staff by assisting with coordinating academic activities, programs, and extracurricular seminars.

Essential Functions
- Assist with the coordination of administrative activities of the academic program, such as Doctoral or Graduate programs, with interrelated activities of other programs, departments, or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development, and creation of program coursework communications and promotional literature for distribution, such as newsletters, brochures or flyers. Ensures materials for each student placement.
- Receive, screen, and respond to inquiries by providing general information about the program.
- Assist with composing and editing documents such as class materials, handouts, syllabus, and program and marketing materials to ensure they meet University standards.
- Serves as a liaison between students, residents, clinical partners or faculty and department staff regarding administrative matters.
- Provides administrative support to the assigned department, school or program with recruitment, selection, registration, orientation and placements.
- Assists with program evaluation activities and recommends ways to efficiently utilize space, equipment, and personnel resources.
- Provide administrative support for academic programs including maintaining the calendar and scheduling meetings, responding to emails, answering and screening calls, preparing correspondence and reports, and maintaining department files.
- Assist with developing student experiences by supporting clinical and practicum placements with community partners.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Prior related administrative experience in which program coordination is the primary responsibility
Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education.

Hiring Range: $51,000-$58,000 (Commensurate with education and experience)
