Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure across various client locations. This role requires extensive travel and the ability to adapt to diverse environments while providing exceptional technical support and solutions.

Assist in the cutover and migration of WAN circuits, including configuration, testing, and validation.
Collaborate with senior network engineers to ensure accurate and efficient execution of WAN circuit cutovers.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of Cisco network equipment, including routers and switches.
Monitor network performance and address any issues that arise during the cutover process.
Document configuration changes, network diagrams, and procedures for future reference.
Support network engineers in the implementation of network upgrades and improvements.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate cutover activities.
Participate in post-cutover reviews and provide feedback for process improvements.

Requirements

Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and protocols (e.g., BGP, MPLS).
Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
Familiarity with WAN technologies and concepts (e.g., MPLS, VPNs).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively alone and in a team environment.
Relevant Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA) or a willingness to obtain them is preferred.
Candidate must have Security + certification.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Desired experience:

Experience configuring/troubleshooting WAN interfaces and BGP on Cisco routers.
