Management Accountant to join our wider finance team and support our Dental Management Accounts.
Position:
Location: Remote (UK based) with national travel required for meetings
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
The Knovia Group are looking for an experienced
Management Accountant to join our growing team of finance professionals to provide a quality service and fulfil expectations, through their specialist knowledge, Management Accounts experience and drive to make an impact.
In this role you will be an integral part of the wider shared services finance department, and support in the preparation and issuing of monthly management accounts for our Dental provider, whilst providing finance support to the wider group if required.
Our ideal candidate will be meticulous and solution-focused, with the determination to meet timetable deadlines for monthly management accounts and reports including, month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and revenue reporting with accuracy and efficiency.
If you are a qualified accountant (ACCA,CIMA ACA) and have experience in the production of management accounts, advanced Excel capability and a strong knowledge of payroll then we want to hear from you!
Key tasks include:
- Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts and reports in a timely manner to meet monthly reporting timetable deadlines
- Analyse and investigate variances to budget and forecasts and provide commentary
- Review accounts against prior months and expectations for reasonableness
- Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
- Calculation and posting of monthly irrecoverable VAT for monthly accounts
- Production of quarterly VAT returns
- Complete monthly R185 Certificate of Deduction of Income Tax forms
- Assisting with development of systems and implementing new processes
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant CIMA, ACA, ACCA
- Strong IT skills with advanced MS Excel skills, confident in manipulating existing spreadsheets & creating new reports
- Education or government funding Management Accounts experience
- Experience of accounting systems such as SAGE
- Experience in the production of management accounts
- Experience of working within a finance team and managing colleagues
- Excellent communication skills, both written & oral with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- A strong work ethic, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to travel nationally or to our London office if required for meetings and 1:1s
