Job Description

Role Summary:

This role is expected to lead and drive GFS’ Cash Application Operations, which is part of the Order to Cash function. The role is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in leading transformation, digitalization and automations of transactional processes with stakeholders across different regions.

The successful candidate will report to the Order to Cash Manager. The Cash Application Team Lead will be required to streamline and strengthen Cash Application operating rhythm while concurrently manage stakeholders and the team’s continuous improvement projects. It is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and commitment to cash accuracy and timeliness is imperative.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure team members are being motivated, guided, and supported. Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Lead as a role model and instils a robust culture of knowledge sharing and working together for the overall team’s success.
  • Accountable for the delivery of Team KPIs. Manage the team’s day-to-day operations and administrations to ensure SLAs (receipt postings, adjustments, refunds, queries management) and deadlines are being met and to ensure proper ownership of issues that arise. Proactively communicate and mitigate/ manage escalation risks across all functional stakeholders.
  • Lead regular reviews with the Team and Stakeholders and ensure there is action plan to resolve issues and reduce unknown and unapplied receipt open items in the receivable ledger prior to month end close.
  • Proactively promote collaborations, alignments and improvements across stakeholders and across regions to work through operational strategies, issues, and process change to support receivable activity i.e. across Order to Cash Team (O2C), Project Managers, Tech Support Team, Empower Team, Global Process Owners (GPO) etc.
  • Drive team performance and manage resource planning for growth, succession plan, talent management and retention for Cash Application team.
  • Provide active and visible leadership to the Cash Application team, and play an active role in Experian management team, EmpowerPlus, staff meetings and service review meetings.
  • Ensure Cash Application operations are operating within the control framework as the 1st line of defense while also ensuring all audit and compliance requirements are adhered to. Monitors and as necessary, provides governance and ensure self and team are adhering to the Experian policy, guidelines, standards while also remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities.
  • Develop and drive best practices across all stakeholders to minimize reliance on manual processes, improve accuracy, drive system automation in furtherance of O2C cash strategy.
  • Plan and support integrations, centralizations, and digitalization and build into objectives and accountability within the team.
  • Acts as a change agent to further grow a continuous improvement culture by influencing staffs at all level on improvement initiatives. Ensures all GFS Expansion project deliverables and outcomes are implemented on time and within scope.
  • Tracks and manages post-project/CR implementation performance monitoring; including savings verification and reporting.

    Qualifications

    More About You:

    • Minimum of 4-7 years’ experience working in MNC with minimum 2-3 years in a supervisory or team lead position
    • Experience in Account Receivables and/or Credit Management are highly preferred
    • Proven track record of process improvement and project management.
    • Excellent leadership and people management skills which may include experience in a virtual or remote team environment
    • Highly effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide a diplomatic but robust challenge to colleagues at all levels where necessary.
    • Effective team manager as well as team player; experienced in working with people at all levels in the organization and able to handle high number of stakeholders
    • Resilient and durable, able to maintain momentum in the face of obstacles and setbacks.
