Junior QA Consultant
10+ Month Contract

Overview: The QA Tester/Analyst will oversee QA planning, tracking, and reporting for projects, ensuring effective Test Strategy/Plan implementation.

Responsibilities:

Test custom applications and GIS components.
Create, document, and execute test plans, scenarios, and cases; analyze results and report issues.
Support Agile testing needs and collaborate with teams to understand business requirements.
Ensure timely software testing and manage bottlenecks or risks.
Assist in developing UAT test scenarios and participate in defect triage and demos.
Report weekly status to Quality Assurance Testing Lead.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
At least 3 years of software testing experience in development projects.
Experience with mid-scale or large-scale system projects, test automation, and test strategies.
Skills in manual and automated testing, including creating and modifying test cases.
Proficient in documenting RTM, test cases, results, and preparing sample data.
Experience with system, regression, performance, and security testing; mobile device testing is a plus.
Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and cross-functional teamwork.
Experience with GitHub, ServiceNow, TFS, JIRA, and familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Experience with STLC concepts, defect management tools, and public sector preferred.
Preferred certifications: ISTQB, CSTE, CAST.
