Manager, Software QA

Summary of Position

The Manager, Software QA works collaboratively with technical and management staff to ensure the delivery of quality software and is responsible for the hands-on management of Software QA Engineers and their deliverables. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on leadership to Software QA Engineers and offshore teams and play an integral role in complete end to end verification of the company software systems and components. 
  • Plan, execute and manage complex end-to-end testing with multiple dependencies. 
  • Encourage skill and career growth development within the direct reports in parallel with ongoing mentorship and support. 
  • Work closely with product owners and developers to meet QA commitments and align delivery priorities with business objectives. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement of the software quality assurance process to maximize discovery of defects before software release. 
  • Coordinate and perform debugging and root cause analysis of product issues or defects. 
  • Review readiness and approve regular releases in accordance with established procedures and best practices.

Required Qualifications 

  • Strong knowledge of Python and Groovy
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins)
  • Strong knowledge of version control and branching strategies (GitHub) 
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with test automation frameworks
  • Solid knowledge of automation for end-to-end and integration testing (Web, Mobile, and API)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BDD frameworks (Robot Framework preferred)
  • Knowledge of cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of test management tools (TestRail, Jira)
