Overview:

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Surplus Lines Specialist. SageSure is seeking an experienced insurance professional to ensure that excess and surplus lines processes are working as expected and that state tax filings are accurate and timelyAn excellent candidate will have insurance experience, preferably with excess and surplus lines, detailed oriented, process management focused, and thrive working in a fast-paced environment

What you’d be doing: 

  • Ensuring surplus lines tax transactions and filings are accurate for all states and processed within the deadlines set by those states. 
  • Researching, monitoring, and implementing any changes required to ensure compliance with each state’s surplus lines requirements. 
  • Auditing surplus lines transactions, documents, and filings. 
  • Track and communicate key deliverable dates and provide weekly management reports. 
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, established procedures, etc. 
  • Consistently meeting established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards. 
  • Performing other related duties and projects as assigned. 

We’re looking for someone who has: 

  • 5+ years’ experience in property & casualty insurance. 
  • Resident state property/casualty and surplus lines licenses required within 6 months of job acceptance. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Exceptional problem solving and process design skills, with emphasis on customer experience. 
  • Ability to remain focused with multiple, competing deadlines. 
  • Strong MS Excel skills/experience. 
  • May require quarterly travel to one of SageSure’s offices for team collaboration. 

Highly preferred candidates also have: 

  • A bachelor’s degree  
  • Surplus lines tax filing experience
