Job description

The Director, Sales will lead a team of regional and/or enterprise Sales Executives who are responsible for developing and closing new business as well as creating opportunity within and finalizing sales of our current customer base while increasing revenues within the assigned region. The Director will be responsible for developing their sales team which will include interviewing, hiring, and developing employees to ensure Sales Executives have a superior knowledge of Clinisys solutions and sales process

Essential Functions

  • Lead the planning for new client acquisition, including sales forecasting and planning, territory/ prospect development and assignment, business plan creation, presentation, and review
  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to meet and exceed new client sales targets
  • Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales that may also including meeting with key clients
  • Mentor sales executives to maintain relationships, negotiate and close deals
  • Direct, manage and lead the strategy of cross functional team members, company resources and partners throughout the sales cycle
  • Develop and monitor entire sales cycle and prospective financial performance including discount negotiation, terms, and profitability levels
  • Accurately forecast and manage all sales activity in CRM (NetSuite)
  • Maintains up to date understanding of competitor’s activities and competitive offerings as well as of industry trends and technical developments that effect the market
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree Business, Healthcare, Software, or related discipline or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 10 years of successful sales experience
  • 5+ years’ experience with managing a team of sales executives

Preferred Experience & Education

  • Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Software, or related discipline
  • Experience in Healthcare Software sales
  • Experience with international markets

  • 4-12 Direct Reports

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is generally within the range of $110,000 to $165,000 for annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds with assistance as part of office routine
  • 50% Travel may be required
  • Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours
  • Exposure to hazardous materials or various weather conditions
  • Travel to client sites that can pose risk associated with healthcare organization
  • May be required to follow customer location health and safety requirements
