Who are we looking for

One of the members of our Vacuum community, a team of World’s best mathematicians, physicists & engineers developing tech-forward solutions, market-making algorithms and introducing innovations are looking for a Senior Quant Analyst, who loves to solve difficult problems which are hard to understand, grasp them and spend weeks, event months studying them to bring up solutions that change the game in fintech world.


Role Overview
  • You will research, examine market trends and data to conclude based on this information and make modeling decisions.

  • You will be designing and putting into action quantitative models in addition to creating statistical tools and software.

  • You will be conducting regular statistical analyses such as risk analytics, default risk modeling and other similar tasks.

  • You will also need to perform some coding that includes predictive modeling or machine learning.

  • You must consider the model's parameters and use various techniques to gather data.

  • You will be testing new versions of models and analytical software.

  • You’ll be collaborating closely with fellow quants, traders, mathematicians and quantitative developers to come up with the most effective tactics.

  • You’ll be keeping up with the latest trends, market dynamics, financial system efficiency and other relevant topics via consulting with experts.

  • You’ll be working with tech stack & tools such as Python, Jupyter Notebooks, GitLab for documentation, Grafana for visualizations

Skills required & Practicals

  • Strong probabilistic thinking, therefore coming from either mathematics, physics, probability, statistics, data science background is beneficial

  • Risk- friendly, can do reasonable bets 

  • Good communication skills (need to be articulate about their ideas)

  • Fluency in English is necessary

  • Programing skill in Python, R, Jupyter Notebook and/or ML tech PyTorch is nice to have

  • No need to have previous experience as quant trader, this can be learned, but is is a huge advantage

Practicals
  • Location: Bratislava (if you are not currently in this location, a relocation package covering costs & support is available)

  • Compensation: starting from 4000,-EUR per month + performance bonuses + equity package + perks of Spot co-working & more benefits

  • Type of contract: contractor
