The CCRC is the independent public body that finds, investigates and refers potential miscarriages of justice. We deal with cases from magistrates’ courts, the Crown Court in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and the Court Martial and Service Civilian Court.
At the CCRC we focus on putting things right, and this includes making sure we have all our in-house functions working to a high standard with consistency.
We have recently completed the roll-out of our Quality Management System (QMS) and are now looking to maintain and build on this, to ensure a high-quality approach that supports the whole organisation to operate securely, effectively and efficiently.
Our existing Quality Officer has recently been promoted, meaning we are now looking for an experienced individual to join our team, and make this role their own.
We are looking for a Quality Officer with practical experience of maintaining a QMS based on the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard. The CCRC may also consider future extensions of the QMS to encompass the ISO 27001:2022 standard for information security management.
Professional experience of ISO 9001:2015 (or standards based on 9001) is preferable, whilst experience of working in the wider quality field will be considered. Previous experience of working in a casework and/or legal services environment is required, so that the person has an innate understanding of the requirements associated with our field of work.
You will work closely with the Senior Quality Manager on a wide range of work from maintaining and developing the QMS (including auditing, non-conformance investigations, and writing QMS documentation) to expanding the scope of the QMS to encompasses all the CCRC’s business functions.
