Job description

Overview:

The Senior Quality Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that our organization maintains rigorous quality standards across all processes and products. They are responsible for implementing strategies to improve quality, conducting audits, and driving overall quality performance. The role is vital in upholding our reputation for delivering high-quality products and services.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for quality assurance of complex product features and end-to-end workflows in an engineering team which consists of focusing on best-in-class test design, manual testing, best-in-class automation, and security testing. Resolves complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues.
Hands-on Testing and Automation Engineer with the following Skill Sets and the engineer’s day-to-day tasks include:
Work closely with the scrum team (development, Product Management, and scrum lead) to understand the feature requirement.
Qualify the features through manual testing in the early development cycle and automate the flows for regression testing.
Analyze and decompose various integration points (Simulators) within and outside SAP Ariba’s Ecosystem and design a strategy to test and automate them.
Automate 100% of test cases. Most of them need to be automated using Junit/TestNg/Rest and a few on UI automation.
Have or develop knowledge of the TLS protocol and be able to troubleshoot and diagnose handshake issues as we strengthen our TLS protocol support.
Evaluate reported security vulnerabilities and reproduce them in development environments, allowing confirmation and validation of engineering fixes.
Open to work on Perl/shell code and have responsibility for setting up and maintaining test services.
Define and implement test cases in the area of Encryption at Rest using JCE and similar cryptographic APIs
Build innovative, scalable, and maintainable automation systems to facilitate both functional and performance testing
Provide innovative and out-of-the-box ideas to solve deep technical automation problems.
Build tools to eliminate or reduce day to day basis manual tasks/effort.
Build/Enhance advanced automated test frameworks and suites to qualify our world-class applications.
Candidate should be good at following Core Skills.
Core Java, Algorithms, Data Structures
Excellent White box, API Testing, and Experience in Mock Frameworks
Good in Katalon, Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNg, JavaScript, and SQL, and Experience in Unix and Shell.
Good in CI and CD Tools like Maven, Jenkins, and Git.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES

Engineers should have a working understanding of data center-based, service infrastructure, and cloud infrastructure-based components.
Willingness to work in a dynamic environment for Cloud Solutions.
Analyze and decompose a complicated software system and design a strategy to test this system.
