The opportunity

Crux is growing rapidly! We're looking for a dynamic individual who is eager to take on any challenge and excited about finding innovative solutions. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the day-to-day operations of Crux. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to identify gaps, create solutions, streamline processes, optimize efficiencies, and ultimately build the internal operating systems that set the company up for scale. This position reports to Jess Zhao, Head of Operations.

What you’ll do

  • Drive critical operational systems:  Support and drive day-to-day operations of various operational functions including HR and people operations, finance processes (like AP/AR), compliance, insurance and vendor management. 
  • Process improvement:  Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement. Collaborate with team members to implement solutions and streamline operations. Example projects include: researching and proposing key software and vendor solutions; developing a solution for automating invoicing. 
  • Project and program management:  Launch and manage important operational workstreams and projects from 0-1. Example projects include: developing a systematic approach to procurement questionnaires; building out the company’s team events & engagement calendar.
  • Documentation and reporting:  Establish and maintain documentation of operational processes, procedures and workflows. 
  • Cross-functional collaboration:  Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, engineering, to ensure alignment and coordination across all operational activities.

Who you are

  • 2 years previous experience in operations or building systems and processes, preferably in a start-up or fast-paced environment. 
  • Proactive mindset with a strong commitment to driving results and delivering high-quality work.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, and love to manage multiple different workstreams simultaneously. 
  • Strong analytical skills; you thrive whether it’s researching potential solutions to a problem or deriving actionable insights. 
  • Excited about learning and digging into a lot of different aspects of operations.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excited about building at the early stage, with a focus on flexibility, results ownership, and cross functional collaboration.
  • Contribute to and help build team culture.
