We are looking for a Recruitment and Interviewer Manager to join the Targeted Provision team on a permanent basis to support us in our mission of hiring the UK’s best holistic and trauma-informed SEND specialists.

At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK.

We work with schools and local authorities to provide specialist tutors and mentors for children and young people with additional educational needs.

We also support mentoring and engagement / re-engagement for young people in need of Alternative Provision. We believe that with the right support and role model in their lives, every child can grow in confidence and succeed in learning.

Our Recruitment Team takes a quality-first approach in ensuring that every SEND specialist we work with is Safely Recruited and can deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people we support.

The Recruitment and Interviewer Manager roleLeadership and Management: - Lead the SEND Specialist Interviewer team, providing support and guidance as needed. - Audit interviews and implement strategies to ensuring our interviews ongoing provide a positive candidate experience, gather all relevant information from candidates to make informed assessments, and ensure the high quality of our workforce is maintained. - Run 121s and reviews with your team, supporting their growth and development. - Monitor and evaluate the performance of your team, providing feedback and support to help them meet their goals. - Collect data on interview performance and, working with the Head of Recruitment, develop strategies to improve the quality of candidates and the wider interview process.

Interviewing: - Conduct interviews with potential tutors to assess their skills, experience, and suitability for the role of a SEND Specialist for vulnerable children and young people. - Evaluate the candidate's ability to work with children and young people in a holistic and trauma-informed manner. - Ensure that all candidates meet the company's tutoring standards, maintaining high quality across our workforce so that we deliver the best outcomes for our learners. - Develop an understanding of the Targeted Provision’s child-centred and trauma-informed approach and present these to all tutors interviewing with us. - Maintain accurate records of all interviews and feedback on trends within interviews as appropriate. - Build relationships with candidates, establish trust and credibility, and ensure a positive candidate experience.

Service: - Manage and resolve complaints and escalations. Demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills by addressing candidate feedback and resolving issued in a timely and effective manner. - Handle escalated situations with professionalism, empathy and a focus on candidate satisfaction. Collaborate with other teams and direct reports to implement corrective actions and prevent future escalations, ensuring a positive candidate experience.

YouWe’re looking for someone who is passionate about education and the impact we can have on the lives of young people. You’ll be keen to get stuck in, learn quickly, and take on new challenges. A high level of emotional intelligence is essential. Experience in education and an understanding of the sector and the current state of educational provisions for young people with SEND and Care Experienced children and young people would be an asset in this role.

Required : - Significant experience working in recruitment or staffing, with experience managing a team of interviewers. - A high level of emotional intelligence. - A passion for raising the minimum standard of support for the UK’s vulnerable learners. - Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds. - A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. - A commitment to Safer Recruitment practice. - Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work and meet deadlines. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Desirable: - Previous experience working in a tutoring, teaching or related role. - Experience working with vulnerable young people. - Understanding of the education sector in the UK - Experience using Trello, Airtable, Front or similar CRMs - Experience within a small and fast-paced team - Experience in a customer facing role
