The key objectives of the Investment Product Sales Specialist are to build relationships with the Equitable Advisors field force and enable sales growth through driving investment-related revenue generating activities. As a dedicated headquarters resource for Financial Professionals (FPs) in their territory, the candidate will focus on defined segments to support the FPs in building and growing their practices. This support includes inbound and outbound calls, virtual and in-person meetings with FPs and their teams, as well as occasional participation in conferences and other events.
The products and services supported are advisory and brokerage accounts – including mutual funds, equities, fixed income, third party managed accounts, and alternative investments. Support will also include training, product knowledge, practice management, investment research, developing historical illustrations, presenting sales ideas, and generally providing “go-to” practice support for our FPs.
The Investment Product Sales Specialist is an influential part of the Broker Dealer and RIA sales, responsible for enabling sales growth throughout Equitable’s retail distribution system. This is truly a team environment for people that are able to see the long-term rewards of a growing company.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing “go-to” practice support and sales enablement for our FPs
- Focus on defined segments to support the FPs in building and growing their practices
- Inbound and outbound calls / virtual and in-person meetings / occasional participation in conferences and other events
- Products and service support (advisory and brokerage accounts – including mutual funds, equities, fixed income, third party managed accounts, and alternative investments)
- Other support (training, product knowledge, practice management, investment research, developing historical illustrations, presenting sales ideas)
The base salary range for this position is $67,000 - $100,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years investment industry experience
- FINRA Licenses Series 7, 63, 65 (or 66) required
- Demonstrated relationship management, sales, customer service, and presentation skills in large and small group settings – in person and virtually
- Managed account, mutual fund, and brokerage experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with investment products, Financial Professionals, or end-clients, wrap or investment advisory programs
- Problem resolution skills required and must be motivated, sales-oriented, and persistent
- Proven writing and verbal communications skills
- Established experience working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Morningstar Advisor Workstation experience
- Progress towards or desire to pursue advanced industry designations
