A day in the life.

As the IT Strategy Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the IT function at MMA. Working closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and executive leadership, you will align IT initiatives with business objectives, ensuring that technology investments deliver maximum value. In this capacity, you will oversee key projects and initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders

  • Facilitating communication and collaboration across departments, ensuring that technology opportunities are identified and leveraged to drive business growth. Your leadership will be essential in developing and implementing best practices for IT strategy and governance, while also monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions

  • In addition to managing relationships with external vendors and partners, you will be responsible for HR onboarding, training, and talent development, fostering a positive organizational culture.

  • Oversee the financial management of the IT department, including budget processes and vendor management, ensuring resources are allocated effectively

  • Taking charge of audit, compliance, and security oversight, ensuring that IT operations adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards. Analyzing data to provide actionable insights will support informed decision-making at the executive level

  • IT Strategy Development: Proven experience in IT strategy development and execution, with a focus on aligning technology initiatives with business goals

  • Governance and Best Practices: Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and best practices, with experience in managing technology investments and ensuring compliance

  • Financial Services Experience: Experience within technology teams for financial institutions, preferably within compliance or other risk functions, and in a strategic role

  • Effective Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into actionable strategies

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing key projects from conception through execution

  • Data Analysis Proficiency: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to support strategic decision-making and performance measurement

  • Emerging Technologies Awareness: Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends, with the ability to identify opportunities for innovation

  • HR and Talent Development: Experience in HR onboarding processes, training, and talent development, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement

  • Vendor Management: Proven ability to manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards

  • Audit and Compliance Oversight: Experience overseeing audit processes, compliance, and security measures within an IT context, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in IT strategy, project management, or a related field, with a focus on leadership roles

The applicable base salary range for this role is $119,500 to $209,200.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
