Job Title: Senior Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

 The Senior Project Manager (PM) role within the Project Management Office (PMO) plays a critical role in ensuring effective delivery of projects for clients and internally at CareMetx. The Senior PM is responsible for establishing and leading CareMetx, cross-functional, strategic initiatives from inception to completion. The Senior PM leads a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services for clients, large-scale IT initiatives, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. 

 

  1. Single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering a given initiative
  2. Ensure end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit
  3. Direct large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners
  4. Accountable for one or more initiatives including business, operational, and IT deliverables
  5. Effectively manage and consult on client engagements, balancing directive with collaborative communication, and ensure products and services meet contractual requirements
  6. Facilitate and drive working sessions with clients and stakeholders to plan initiatives, elicit requirements and/or business processes, and guide clients to successful outcomes
  7. Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
  8. Directly manage all aspects of project delivery and work with matrixed partners to ensure successful project completion; ensuring that project objectives are achieved
  9. Rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters
  10. Proactively anticipate, identify, and manage risks and issues of projects
  11. Validate financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures
  12. Serve as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives
  13. Ensure all stakeholders are adequately consulted or engaged on key deliverables for their respective functional areas
  14. Represent the project and the PMO in various project governance and inter-department forums
  15. Chair weekly core project team and periodic stakeholder meetings to review progress with key constituents
  16. Ensure projects adhere to PMO Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), developing and maintaining required artifacts
  17. Publish regular project status reports to ensure the project’s overall direction and integrity
  18. Propose recommendations and adjustments to improve project delivery and the PMO department
  19. Effectively manage and prioritize your time to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  20. Travel may be required for project-related client meetings and training (post COVID-19)
  21. Maintain regular and reliable attendance, including being present, on time, and prepared for work as scheduled.
  22. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of seven years’ experience managing software development and/or IT technology projects, or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or engineering
  • Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech or healthcare hub services industries
  • Management consulting experience preferred
  • PMP, CSM, PSM I/II certification(s) preferred
