Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Location: Argentina

Overview

As a key member of the executive team, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the company’s technology strategy. The CTO ensures that the technical direction aligns with the company’s mission and objectives while driving innovation, efficiency, and scalability across the organization. This position works closely with the CEO, Chief Product Officer (CPO), and other cross-functional teams to ensure the company’s technology infrastructure is robust, secure, and capable of supporting the business’s growth.

The CTO will report directly to the CEO.

Technology Strategy and Vision
  1. Define and communicate the overarching technology strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and goals.

  2. Lead the development of a clear, actionable technology roadmap that supports both short-term and long-term business objectives.

  3. Research emerging technologies, competitive analysis, and industry trends to continuously inform technical decisions.

Technology Development and Lifecycle
  1. Oversee the entire technology lifecycle from infrastructure design to implementation and ongoing optimization.

  2. Ensure the timely delivery of new technological features and updates, managing resources and timelines effectively.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the product team (led by the CPO) to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with product goals.

Technical Excellence and Innovation

  • Drive technical innovation, ensuring that the company’s technology stack remains cutting-edge and supports future growth.

  • Assess emerging trends, tools, and user needs to identify new opportunities for technological advancement and differentiation.

  • Lead the technical team to develop scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that provide a competitive advantage in the market.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor the engineering and technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement.

  • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure that technical solutions are aligned with user needs and business requirements.

  • Serve as a key liaison between engineering, product, and leadership teams, facilitating communication and alignment on technical initiatives.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Manage the technology budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet technical goals.

  • Balance strategic priorities with available resources, ensuring that the technology team operates efficiently and effectively.

Collaboration with the CPO

  • Partner with the Chief Product Officer to ensure the product roadmap aligns with the company’s technical capabilities and infrastructure.

  • Work together to address technical debt, prioritize technical features, and ensure that the technology evolves alongside customer needs and product advancements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Present technology strategy, progress, and results to the CEO and other senior leadership, ensuring alignment on technical direction.

  • Manage relationships with external technology partners and stakeholders, ensuring that the technology strategy is effectively executed across the organization.

Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience in technology leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role (such as CTO or VP of Engineering).

  • Proven track record of delivering scalable and secure technological solutions in a startup or high-growth environment.

  • Proven track record in Machine Learning and AI development.

  • Strong understanding of technical and business aspects of technology development.
