Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

Description

The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will oversee the efficient receiving and shipping of our products at Maytronics’ main warehouse and distribution center in Piedmont, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will ensure that incoming shipments are promptly and accurately received into the warehouse, and that outbound orders are dispatched with ease, efficiency, and satisfaction for our internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

·        Manage the receipt and shipping of goods.

·        Optimize the cost of outbound freight by securing the most competitive freight quotes for outbound orders.

·        Facilitate excellent communication between Maytronics’ business operations team and the warehouse team to ensure on-time delivery of orders and information sharing.

·        Coordinate and control the order cycle and associated information systems.

·        Analyze logistical problems and produce new solutions.

·        Develop and improve business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel and shipping costs

·        Manage staff training to ensure orders are processed in accordance with internal and external requirements.

·        Project future shipping and receiving needs and work with other department heads to create strategies for meeting those needs.

Requirements

·        A bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain management, or a related field preferred but not required.

·        Proven experience in shipping and receiving management.

·        Experience with WMS software

·        Strong customer focus.

·        Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

·        Strong understanding of warehousing and distribution processes.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.

·        Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

·        Strong leadership and customer management abilities.

·        Ability to manage time and plan effectively.
