The Senior Director, Executive Talent Acquisition partners with executives across the global  organization and leads the function as a strategist, consultant, and manager of a high-impact team of recruiters.  They will work with internal customers to provide a strategic framework for talent discussions making this role a mission-critical contributor to realizing the business strategy for the organization.

This position reports to the Vice President, Global Talent Acquisition and may be based in our Washington, DC office or remotely – preferably on the east coast of the United States.   

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Strengthen, expand, and manage the executive search function and lead the team to a highest purpose capability. 
  • Solicit feedback from core internal customers and build an operating rhythm that enables the executive search team to anticipate Danaher’s executive talent needs as well as current and future leadership gaps.
  • Develop and manage innovative approaches to untapped networks and tools, especially for attracting and engaging diverse talent globally.
  • Research and communicate talent market trends, such as market attrition, talent availability, and skill prevalence to senior executives. Bring forward recommendations for how to adjust executive talent strategies and give the company a competitive advantage in light of market dynamics.
  • Serve as expert advisor, partner, leader, and trusted colleague to help operating company leaders envision what the right talent will be for the company, beyond the immediate need.

The essential requirements of the job include:  

  • Depth of experience in talent acquisition, talent management, and/or executive search experience, with deep understanding of talent as a competitive advantage for organizations of the future. 
  • Quickly learns markets and applies the knowledge as a consultant to senior business and HR leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate in a complex organization known for market impact, a strong culture and business operating system, commitment to values and proven believer in continuous improvement as a way of life.
  • Experience and exposure to international markets and working across a variety of different cultures and geographies.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing organization capability requirements and translating these into practical executive talent strategies.
  • Knowledge and experience with change management methodologies and leading and facilitating transformational change initiatives with team and others where necessary.
  • Experience influencing senior executives by readily building trust, confidence, and authentic rapport.  Must be willing to challenge points-of-view when necessary and offer alternative constructive suggestions.
  • Is an excellent and creative collaborator with the ability to grasp issues quickly and work on the right things at the right time. Timely and consistently delivers on agreed goals and commitments. Able to manage conflict.

The salary range . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
