We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Business Operations to oversee and optimize back-office functions for the PFS. This leadership role functions similarly to a Chief of Staff, serving as a key integrator across internal teams and corporate counterparts. The ideal candidate will bring operational rigor, strategic insight, and cross-functional leadership to ensure that internal operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with broader business objectives.
 
This individual will work closely with corporate functions—including HR, Marketing, IT, and Finance—and serve as a critical liaison between the PFS and Progress to align strategies, streamline processes, and support organizational growth.
 
In this role, you will: 
 
Operational Leadership:
  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations across HR, Finance, Marketing, and IT functions.
  • Design, implement, and refine operational policies and processes to drive efficiency, scalability, and consistency across departments.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on operational infrastructure, resourcing needs, and long-term business planning.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between the PFS and Progress  teams to align on shared processes, tools, and timelines.
Human Resources:
  • Support a positive employee experience while ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the PFS lead for coordination of talent acquisition, onboarding and compliance.
Finance:
  • Partner with Finance leadership to oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting.
  • Drive improvements in procurement, financial controls, and vendor management.

Marketing:

  • Collaborate with Marketing leads to ensure initiatives are aligned with company strategy and executed effectively.
  • Improve communication flows and process efficiency across marketing functions.

Information Technology:

  • Supervise IT resources to ensure infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity are robust, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs.
  • Lead or support digital transformation initiatives and technology assessments in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Your background: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in business operations, general management, or similar roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams across HR, Finance, IT, and Marketing.
  • Strong operational and strategic thinking, with a track record of improving systems and processes.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills; able to navigate complex organizational structures and drive alignment.
  • Experience working in high-growth, agile, or matrixed environments is a strong plus.
