The Senior Accountant supervises accounting staff in the day-to-day operations of one or more accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger maintenance, revenue and asset accounting as well as associated analysis and reporting. Oversees calculating, posting, and verification of financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. The position requires 5-7 years’ experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional areas and department processes. This is a remote role.

Responsibilities include:

Take a leadership role in the financial close and reporting process, including preparation of journal entries, monthly financial package, flash reporting, balance sheet variance, and income statement budget-vs-actual analyses.
Process international accounting and related intercompany consolidations.
Oversee daily transactions, including Accounts Payable/Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets and bank reconciliations.
Prepare cash forecasts.
Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department and drive process improvements to gain efficiency and reduce close timeline.
Assist with local statutory and annual corporate audits and tax returns.
Assist with payroll and equity administration as needed, including the preparation of stock-based compensation expense in accordance with ASC 740
System administrator of various accounting systems, including NetSuite and Concur.
