Overview
Reporting to the Sr. Director, IT Salesforce Platform, the Senior Business Systems Analyst, IT Salesforce Platform will play a key role in driving business process optimization through the effective implementation of Salesforce solutions for the upkeep and enhancement of Iovance’s chain of custody and chain of identity (COC/COI) systems. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, inquisitive individual who will work with key business stakeholders to understand their business processes, spend considerable time in the system to understand it at an intricate level and proactively help the team identify technical debt and other issues with the system during system development.
This role is a key enabler of Iovance’s launch strategy and plans and strong candidates will be expected to possess excellent communication skills, extensive experience in working with cross functional teams to understand and document business processes, capturing business requirements, and working with development teams to drive systematic solutions to business challenges. This position requires a cursory understanding of computer system validation and experience with Salesforce based systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
System Expertise and Trouble Shooting
- Be the leading expert of Iovance’s Salesforce Systems with proven experience understanding complex business processes and distilling them into business requirements.
- Understand intricacies of system and system requirements and use this knowledge to troubleshoot IT Service Tickets.
- Ensure Service Delivery KPI’s are meeting standards, and the support team is trained to service all Tier 1 tickets.
Business Process Architecture and Analysis
- Lead requirements gathering, design configuration and implementation of Salesforce solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of COC/COI systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business SME’s to understand business needs, help gather business requirements and translate them into actionable asks of the development team.
- Liaise with the development team to ensure proposed solutions are consistent with business requirements and fulfill the needs of the business.
- Work with business stakeholders to establish a deep understanding of business processes. Be the business process SME on the Salesforce Platform team to ensure solutions are ideally suited for established business processes. Provide strategic recommendations for system improvements
Project Management.
- Step in to provide project management assistance where needed. Work with project managers to ensure timelines are consistent and synced with organizational needs and other cross functional interlinked initiatives.
- Serve as the de-facto project manager for in-house builds and other critical Salesforce Competency Center (SCC) initiatives.
- Provide oversight over third-party/vendor project managers to ensure timelines are consistent with internal plans and realistic and achievable.
Computer System Validation
- Work closely with the Director of Computer System Validation to craft project validation artifacts including IQ and OQ Protocols, Risk Assessments, UFRS and other validation documentation.
- Conduct Risk Assessment Overviews with Senior Quality Personnel to ensure the project’s functional requirements are assessed appropriately for validation impact.
Cross Functional Business Process Consultation.
- From time to time, review manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, ATC Ops and other cross functional teams SOPs, Work Instructions and MBR’s to ensure the established processes correctly capture all system steps and are consistent with established solutions.
- Serve as IT representative and System Subject Matter expert on system readiness exercises such as the COR Reviews, System Dry Runs and System trainings.
- Collaborate with automation testing teams to ensure automation scripts are consistent with business processes and system architecture.
- Work with cross-functional representatives to establish and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions at the end of each release cycle to ensure business representatives have thoroughly tested the functionality and are satisfied with delivered solutions.
Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- At least 8 years of professional experience with at least 5 years as a business systems analyst/business analyst. Experience with COC/COI systems is a plus.
- 3+ years’ experience working with Salesforce based systems.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's in Computer Science or relevant degree

- Understanding of US requirements as it pertains to regulated product delivery from an IT and compliance perspective.
- A strong background in Agile software development methodology is preferred.
- Understanding and experience with software automation testing is an asset.
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical regulated environment (GxP, FDA).
- Strong
interpersonal,

skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA, Azure Boards, Visio and KNEAT.
- Possesses sense of urgency; identifies challenges and problems and takes the initiative to identify solutions.
- Project management skills and focus on delivery of results.
- Thorough understanding of best practices in SDLC for custom systems, validation, and ITIL.
- Flexible, adaptable, and hands-on approach necessary.
Physical Demands and Activities Required
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to move about inside an office and exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Must have visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, and extensive reading.
- This position requires repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
- Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information.
