Reporting directly to the Global Portfolio & Programme Manager, the IT SAP S/4HANA Programme Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping, resourcing, and delivering large-scale, high-impact transformation projects within budget and on time. This role is responsible for optimizing resource allocation, enhancing strategic IT alignment, and driving digital transformation across the enterprise.

As a key leader within Convatec’s IT function, the Programme Manager is accountable for overseeing a portfolio of complex, interdependent programmes and projects, ensuring delivery excellence, governance compliance, and strategic alignment with business objectives. • Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Programme and Project Managers on the SAP S/4HANA Programme across global Convatec locations, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure financial governance by managing programme financials, including budgeting, forecasting, actuals tracking, and variance analysis, in collaboration with the IT Financial Controller and PMO.

  • Lead the development and execution of this IT programme and project portfolio budget, ensuring alignment with Convatec’s strategic priorities and demonstrating ROI.

  • Establish and maintain a programme and project performance framework that tracks value realization, impact, and effectiveness against defined business objectives.

  • Support and oversee robust programme governance, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

  • Drive collaboration and alignment between business and IT stakeholders, ensuring the SAP S/4HANA Programme solutions meet business needs and deliver expected outcomes.

  • Define and enforce programme status reporting structures, ensuring consistent communication with sponsors, steering committees, and stakeholders.

  • Oversee vendor relationships, negotiating and managing contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and service level agreements (SLAs) to optimize delivery and cost efficiency.

  • Act as the primary escalation point for Workstream Leads and Project Managers, removing roadblocks and ensuring seamless execution.

  • Promote Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies, fostering adaptability and responsiveness in programme execution.

  • Drive digital transformation by introducing innovative approaches, emerging technologies, and best practices in SAP S/4HANA programme execution.

  • Ensure alignment of project delivery with IT service portfolio management and long-term IT strategy.
